Hull College Group is one of the largest further and higher education colleges in the country, offering over 1000 courses to over 26,000 students every year.
We are now looking to appoint a part time (0.5 FTE) Skills Trainer/Assessor - Early Years/ Health and Social Care to induct, train, assess, monitor and track work-based and work-related candidates working in the relevant field in the workplace.
Providing appropriate information, advice and guidance on Cache programmes and other related programmes in the school where there is a substantial programme related work placement, you will contribute to regional and cross-regional promotional and college events and assist tutors to carry out initial assessment screening and reviews with students to ensure they are placed on an appropriate training programme.
Agreeing a joint assessment programme between the student, employer and College and carrying out agreed reviews and assessments, you will conduct Health and Safety vetting of placement settings and track and record student activity to meet funding and awarding body requirements.
If you hold a Level 3 qualification (or above) in a relevant subject, hold Assessor qualifications and have substantial experience, then we want to hear from you.
With the ability to inspire and motivate others, particularly learners, you will have recent and relevant experience of assessing in the workplace and have knowledge of local businesses within the area in the relevant occupational sector.
A PTLLS teaching qualification would be a distinct advantage, as would experience of internal verification.
